We are interested in buying the following product in bulk 10 tons as per our specification. SPECIFICATION MOULDING MICANITE SHEET ALKYD VINYL BONDED 1. GENERAL: This specification governs the quality of flexible moulding micanite sheet made from muscovite mica splitting and bonded with alkyd vinyl resin and consolidated under heat and pressure. The sheets shall be manufactured without any backing or reinforcing material. The material has a temperature index of at least 155. 2. APPLICATION: Suitable for the manufactured of vee rings of Traction Machines. 3. DIMENSIONS AND TOLERANCES: A. Sizes: 610 X 810 mm or as stated on the order B. Thickness and tolerance: C. Nominal thickness: 0.25 mm However any other thickness may also be ordered. D. Tolerance: Average: + - 0.02 mm 80% of Individual reading: + - 0.03 mm 100% of Individual reading: + - 0.04 mm E. Tolerance on width: + - 5 mm F. Tolerance on length: + - 5 mm 4. FINISH: Shall be smooth with trimmed edges, bond uniformly distributed and also shall be free from hard patches, through holes, foreign inclusions such as hair, wood splinters, paper, dust, metallic particles etc. Mica should not flake off in appreciable quantity. The sheets when stocked together should not stick to each other. 5. PHYSICAL PROPERTIES: A. Substance: 560 + - 30 gm/sq mt. B. Mica content: 89% to 93% by weight C. Bond content: 7% to 11 % by weight D. Mouldability: Shall be mouldable around a 25 mm diameter mandrel without Showing any cracks at 140 degree censius E. Volatile content at 150 degree censius for 10 minutes: 1% Max.
